Appearance~
As a human Rukia tends to be a bit smaller than her brother, with the same dark eyes and hair that he possesses and a similarity of features that clearly shows their family tie. Her hair hangs to the small of her back in a straight mass with bangs that frame her serious but pretty face, and she wears a light but beautiful kimono of white, underneath which she's barefoot. Her grace in movement is more of the secretive and slinking sort and she is still somewhat in the habit of walking with her head and tail down when not in a hunting or fighting situation, the years of being an omega still coloring her habits. She also bears the scars of that time under her fur as well as across her back, stomach and chest in human form.

As a cub Rukia tended toward being a blunt and forthright child, speaking her mind and trying to learn everything that she saw. She was also one of the more demanding cubs, but with her pretty but subtle coloration and willingness to put in the effort some were kind enough to ignore her mother's shame and teach her things here and there. Being a female she was intrinsically valued for her ability to breed- it made the justification for such learning easier to come by. It pained her though to see her brother suffer as he protected herself and her sister and that caused her to strive even harder to prove herself and help him in whatever way possible.
After he was driven out she dedicated herself completely to protecting her packmate Aisa- taking Aisa's wounds and refusing to fight back even as her pride cracked under the strain. Once it became known she was easily bullied she took Haku's former position as omega and held it until his return, falling into complete submission by sheer habit though her eyes burned with rage. For most of the cruel ones this only delighted them more and they increased the attacks- but it gave her a will of steel and the speed to evade what she could. And she remembered every blow.
After Haku's return and their splitting off to form their own pack she's begun to brighten again a bit- but she still habitually submits and remains in the background, giving other wolves a poor impression of her. With time she should heal more fully, but her anger will be the last thing to fade.

Born in the chill of winter Rukia was the second pup to be birthed in her mother's small den- preceded by her smaller but older brother and followed by Aisa and two other siblings. That point in her life, simply eating and playing with her siblings within the den, was the least complicated of her life; once she stepped outside it only grew more difficult. Her mother was not well thought of in the pack and there was only one other who would look after them while their mother helped with the hunts. The others in the pack often turned on their mother and would attack her without provocation. It seemed at times that the only reason the pups were left alone was the universal rule forbidding harm to them. The pups were the hope for the future, even from an omega mother.
In the first few months the youngest two pups died, leaving only the last three. Haku grew strong and swift, as well as determined. Rukia shared his will but was more stalwart- she rarely attacked first but would stand firm against any onslaught, and could be counted on even with her small size to flush out larger prey and draw its attention. As she grew older it changed though- the closer she was to reaching adulthood the more harshly she was judged and the more often Haku had to step in to prevent herself or Aisa from being hurt. It forced her to strive for perfectionism to save her family further pain.
Once Haku left everything that had fallen upon him turned to her instead- even her position as a potential breeder couldn't keep her safe, and rather than run and watch them turn on Aisa next she remained as their willing though grudging victim. She refused to remove her help from the hunt or stop tending the pups as necessary, but gained no respect for it- the better she did, the more abuse she received. But it couldn't break her spirit; she remembered that Haku had said he'd come back.
When her brother did return he was stronger and faster and able to beat the Alpha- and had his own dream to pursue. Without question Rukia fell into line, followed by Aisa, and they remained even as the rest of the pack fell away. She doesn't quite understand her brother's quest but she trusts his judgment and will follow him to the ends of the earth if needed.
