In human form Blue is an attractive girl, her hair the same color as her fur in her wolf form and short, hanging only as long as her shoulders and flipping out at the edges to almost give the appearance of a mane. Over her lithe body she wears a jacket dress of deep blue with a red scarf at her neck and tall boots reaching her thighs. Her face is very expressive and her eyes are just as blue no matter which face she's showing to the world at that point in time. In movement she's just as graceful and confident though she can often seem nearly immovable.

overall personality~
Blue is the sort that is loyal almost to a fault- once she chooses a side she sticks with it and defends it against all attackers, whether they use words, weapons or tooth and claw. It's almost instinctive for her to view any newcomers as possible threats though, and until they have earned her trust she will always be guardedly wary of such people. Once within the pack though she plays the defender, no matter how dubious she felt about the person before.
She's also not the sort who would ever make alpha- instead, she is more of a guard and possible beta, looking after everyone but at times without the vision to do more than follow orders and instincts, or disagree with a plan that doesn't seem to make sense. When given a duty she will think of alternative ways to fulfill it and her quick mind gives her quite the advantage in battle; often she is able to attack an enemy who hasn't even yet realized she's moved into any sort of precarious position. This is part of her greater philosophy that enemies in battle deserve no quarter given, at if challenged within a pack she would take the same position.
Underneath her rough exterior though is a warm heart for most, though she is too cautious to show it at most times. She's quite comfortable in her human form as well, and is an expressive person when moved to emotion.

history~
It's not the best time for wolves in the world- people are again filled with fear at their presence, remembering the sharp teeth and raw power of a wolf threatened rather than the peace of a secure pack in the woods. The few humans who remember the good of them in the United States moved to return packs to the national parks in the Midwest and Central States; from one of those rebuilt and relocated packs came the litter from which sprang Blue. But times were still hard; only herself and her smaller brother Solon made it past the first year, the rest falling to the dangers that always accompany life in the wild.
Considering their parents relationship with humans, those who watched and visited were in turn watched by the wolves themselves, though not usually with as much bitter hatred as they may have been; being far more intelligent than the humans gave them credit for they understood their intentions though they chafed at the boundaries placed on them and the tracking collars used to monitor the packs. Otherwise they were as close to a normal, wild wolf pack as you could get- even clashing on occasion with other packs for the limited resources of the almost-cagelike reserve in which they lived.
Blue managed to make something of a name for herself as a pack-tender in her family, but after a time the quest for more to see and the undefinable pull of something yet unseen tugged at her senses and she set out on her own, venturing at times cautiously into cities and at others into wilder lands without yet finding a pack she could call home. Still in her wanderings she hasn't found that other thing that instinct calls her to, though at times she dreams of running after a flower with a sweet scent when the moon is full. She also knows instinctively that others look for the same thing and searches for them just as diligently as the signs of this moonflower.
