These are the complete and absolute rules, subject to change as necessary, and apply to the threads. Further rules for any chat boxes will be added at a later date.
- 1. No god-modding or meta-gaming. This means YOU.
You are only allowed to RP the actions and circumstances of your own characters; this includes damage in battle as well as sensory perception. It's also your responsibility to fairly react to others. If you feel that this rule isn't being followed, please let one of the staff members know.
- 2. Please remain in character for the duration of your post.
This is an RP forum, being able to play your character is the prime component of that.
- 3. Please use grammar and spelling as correctly as possible.
It makes the posts that much easier to read and understand. When in doubt, reread the post to check for errors and/or use grammar and spell check. This means do not start EVERY sentence with the character's name, it's repetitive and a sign of bad grammar and in most cases makes people not want to post with you.
- 4. Respect the setting, time-line and plot of the board.
They make up the world the characters will be in, so they're subject to slight variation- but not extreme variation. Try to remain as faithful to the idea of setting as possible.
- 5. Try to keep it at most PG-13.
Proboards says anyone thirteen and over is able to join; let's keep it moderately respectable. Violence is alright, but for anything sexually explicit take it to PMs or IMs.
- 6. One character per account.
It saves on the confusion in the long run. Twins must be made with one separate account per twin.
- 7. All characters must be approved
Characters must be approved before any role playing will go on, it saves us the hassle of overly powerful wolves. Any posts where this rule isn't followed is subject to summary deletion. The exception to this is the non-IC boards.
- 8. No excessive capital letters or chat speak in posts.
This goes back to the grammar and spelling rule but now it is clearly stated.
- 9. Posting will be written in limited third person past tense.
This goes for everyone, and if it's not done the post will have to be edited to fit into that tense.
- 10. All wolves start as loners
Unless you've been approved for a canon pack position. Humans can be anywhere except Antarctica. There will only be five playable character wolves per continent until all of the slots are filled, at which point new pack slots will be added. The Alpha of each pack has the right to say yes or no to a profile ranking if the application is aimed at their pack. This is to avoid conflicts later on. Be respectful to the Alpha players and don't harass them if they don't want your character in their pack.
- 11. No pure black or pure white.
If you look at real wolves, pure black or pure white is extremely rare, so we ask that you have some color variation in your wolves rather than making them solid white or black.
- 12. Test subjects are a no-no.
I'm sorry but this is unrealistic. You are not aloud to have your wolf a test subject, you may be captured by humans and put on display in a zoo or privet homes but experiments and tests are not aloud.
- 13. You may not play your own alchemist's battery, or your battery's alchemist!
The administrative staff has come to the conclusion that this would be cheating and pose a very unfair advantage to other players and restricts interaction. We have ways to tell if the account belongs to you so please, don't lie to the staff about your accounts.
[/li][li]14. Evil means EVIL.
If you want to play an evil wolf or human there are no objections, but playing that character would mean staying as in-character with them as well. Good characters don't become evil overnight; evil characters are meant to have the same sort of depth. Character growth and development is fine, but please don't make your villains able to be instantly redeemed.[/blockquote]
[/li][li]15. Please keep to the posting order.
If there are more than two people to the thread please make sure to keep to the posting order. If posts need to be skipped or rearranged make arrangements with the other people in the thread. This prevents mass confusion and further delay of posting.
