A young man with redish-brown hair slowly walked through the streets of a small town called Rizembol. Most of the town seemed to be deserted, more than likely they had all moved to the big cities, not that he blamed them, it always seemed to be more interesting in the bigger cities, there was almost aslways something going on there. But of course he also didn't mind getting out of the cities every once in awhile if the day to day life in the city finally got to be too boring for his liking. Which was exactly why he was in Rizembol. The city had gotten way to boring. He paused in the middle of the street and took a look around, there didn't seem to be anyone out on the streets today either, which was slighty odd, you would think at least someone would be out walking, whether it be just some random travler passing through or someone who actually lived here going about their daily lives. He shrugged and went and sat under a nearby tree a little off the main road, guess it wouldn't hurt to rest here for awhile and see if anything interesting was going to happen here.

Kiba hated places filled with people. It bothered him that at any given moment, someone could just all up and notice him. Of course, his disguise was well formed, and he was easily moving in out of the populous. Rizembol, which had low amounts of people, perfect for Kiba. Thankfully, he had managed to snake himself some food off a vendor a few hours earlier, so he was decently full. Though the food was pretty bad, as he was used to most things raw.
Glancing around, Kiba walked down the main road, wary of any authority figures or even a passing civilian. It would be like him to run into trouble, as he seemed to find it very often. Of course, Kiba could escape relatively easily, as he could out-run nearly every human.
Walking a short distance further, Kiba looked around, and spotted someone underneath a nearby tree, just off the road he was on. Tilting his head a bit, Kiba immediately noted that he was looking at another wolf, like him. Brown though, unlike his white fur, and the animal had a collar on, which perplexed him. If the wolf was free, as he was, why was it wearing such a thing? Furrowing his brow a bit, Kiba began to walk near the wolf, keeping his guard up in case anything happened, or the wolf got suspicious and decided to attack him.

The young man blinked as the wind brought to his keen nose the smell of another of his kind, he looked around spotting no one at first, he shrugged and leaned back against the tree his collar making a small 'clink' noise as he did so. After a couple more minutes he felt eyes on him and and glanced out of the corner of his eyes to see the wolf he had smelled before approaching him. The young man closed his eyes and pretended he hadn't noticed the white wolf approaching him. Once he heard the white wolf was within hearing distance he spoke without ever opening his eyes. "Hey there."

Kiba wasn't exactly the trusting type. Hell, some of the time he barely trusted himself, though he always ended up going with his own judgment. He'd been a loner most of his life, after his family was slaughtered. It was a natural instinct to be cautious and careful. After what he'd been through anyone would be. But that was then, and this was now. Kiba knew that if he kept the lone wolf (so to speak) act going, he'd die slowly and carefully. Which, in retrospect, was how he would want it, rather than a constant chase and fighting mercilessly until his life ebbed away.
So trusting, or even putting any sort of compassion or delight towards the wolf before him would seem foolish. Looking at the wolf sitting lazily near the tree, Kiba gave it a glance, one eye on the thing. He wasn't sure what to do, whether to continue walking as if he'd not heard the audible greeting, or to answer and see what happened. He'd take his chances, just this once.
“Hey. What are you doing out here?” He said almost carelessly. To be frank, Kiba was really just wanted to get away from the place. Not because of the wolf he was speaking to, but he'd just caught a whiff of some humans approaching nearby. And that was always a bad sign for him.

The young man chuckled and opened his red-amber eyes, "hm, well what does it look like I'm doing?" He asked rather sarcastically. "What's your name anyway?" He too smelled the humans that were approaching but with his disguise he doubted they'd bother the two of them anyways. But of course he could always be wrong, cause for all he knew they could be soldiers of some kind that had the technology to see through their disguises, or they could just be highly suspicious soldier's who questioned anyone they came across. Either way if it came to a fight he was prepared for one, maybe it would offer some excitement to his otherwise boring day, or if he and this other wolf were heavily outnumbered and they were forced to flee then so be it.

Kiba sighed, staring at the wolf before him. This one seemed lazy, which was worrying yet at the same time a bit of a relief. If this wolf was laid-back, it would be easier for them to get along. Well, as well as Kiba could get along with another living, well, anything. Moving over and kneeling a few feet from the other wolf, Kiba breathed slowly. “My name, is Kiba. And yours?” He said, blue eyes gazing into the wolf's red-amber pupils.
Of course, that was when he noted the smell getting nearer, and a bit of annoyance came over him. Moving, Kiba laid back against the tree next to the wolf, watching as one of the five soldiers emerged from the alley. Tensing himself and mentally bracing himself to flee or fight at the first sign of panic, Kiba waited and watched the soldier's neared his position.

Hige grinned and met Kiba's blue gaze, "Names Hige. Nice to meet ya Kiba." He hoped for a few seconds that the soldiers wouldn't show up but that's about when they decided to come into view, Hige got a slightly annoyed look on his face as they came into view and leaned back against the tree with one of his arms behind his head hoping the soldiers would just pass them by. There were only five by the looks of it, the two of them would probably be able to take them all, but if Kiba fled then Hige himself would have no choice to flee because he wouldn't be able to take them all alone. He briefly glanced at Kiba as he laid back against the tree next him and waited to see what the soilders next move would be, no matter which it came too fight or flee, Hige was ready to move at a moments notice.

Kiba could have sworn he'd heard the name before. Hige. That name sounded incredibly familiar to him, as if he had known the wolf in a past life, maybe in Paradise they had met. But that was uncertain, and Kiba wasn't going to seem like an idiot and ask. Besides, they had more pressing issues at hand, as the guards were getting closer. Kiba wasn't sure what to do, fight or flee. Either was a good choice, but he would probably fight as to not catch a storm of bullets in the back. But he would lay back, resting his head against the tree, to see what would happen. Glancing to the new wolf, Hige, Kiba turned back and looked at the guards.
They seemed jumpy, one being seemingly out of place with the battle-hardened veterans of the soldier's. He looked new to the art of policing, and gave Kiba a stern look, meeting his gaze with a bit of panic. The guard's face went white, turned to panic, as he raised the weapon he was holding, the other guards looking at him then to Kiba, raising their own to seem organized.
Kiba was gone in a flash, the new guard's throat in his powerful jaw's, blood splaying from the wound in his grasp. He knew that the boy would have fired, he saw the fear and confusion in his eyes. Kiba hated that, whenever his disguise broke or someone saw through it for but a moment. It never ended well, and now he had four armed guards staring at him killing off their fellow man. One raised his weapon and fired at Kiba, who barely avoided the shots, lunging at his assailant with a good deal of speed.

Hige carefully watched the soldiers as they approached, one of them was most definitely a new guy, it was practically written all over his face. He glared at them as the new guy aimed his gun at Kiba, he briefly glanced at Kiba wondering what he was going to do. He didn't have to wait long before he got his answer as Kiba jumped up in a flash and killed the guy who first drew his weapon on the two of them. Hige chuckled, well now, today was already looking better, he finally found some action. As Kiba headed for one of the guys who shot at him Hige quickly pushed himself up and away from the tree shedding his clever human disguise and pounced on the nearest soldier's back driving him to the ground. Hige then took the man's neck in his jaws and twisted hearing the rather loud snap of the mans neck as it broke. When he let go of the mans' neck he looked up right into the barrel of the one of the other soldiers gun. 'Well crap' he thought to himself as he stared down the barrel, as ideas flashed through his head as to how he was going to get out of this situation.

Blood was flowing, and though Kiba never enjoyed making a spectacle of himself, it was a bit relieving to hear the cries of those who would no sooner kill him. Though Kiba knew that there would be more, that they would chase them, and he and the one known as Hige, who he was damn sure he'd met from somewhere, would be taking the wrong end of the human's bullet's. Tearing at the third guard, Kiba snarled, swiftly moving around and clamping down on the man's throat from behind in his powerful jaw's.
As the guard fell, attempting to feebly remove the teeth that were embedding themselves deeper into his jugular, Kiba saw one guard, gun at the ready, in the face of Hige. Though he wasn't sure why, he was compelled to save the wolf. Leaping from the guard, Kiba plowed into the one about to shoot Hige, knocking him down and quickly slicing open his throat as the other's.
Looking to Hige, Kiba moved quickly. “C'mon, we need to get out of here before more get here!” He said, adrenaline flowing as he pushed off, hearing shouts, the sounds of gunfire exploding behind them. Kiba could feel the bullets fly past as he ran, hoping Hige could keep up.

Thoughts flew through Hige's head on how he could possibly get out of this one, but not very many options were coming to mind, Kiba was distracted with the other soldiers so he probably wouldn't be able to help him. He held his ground though growling at the guard that had the gun in his face. Finally just as a small long shot idea came to mind Kiba came out of nowhere and quickly killed the guards and then took off telling Hige to come with him. Hige didn't need to be told twice as he heard other soldiers approaching and fireing their guns at him and Kiba. He pelted after Kiba keeping up rather well with the white wolf despite his lazy appearance. Bullets were flying past them and hitting the ground next to them, some getting a little too close for comfort, if they didnt find some cover soon, one or both of them might just wind up getting hit by one of the bullets.

The bullets had only begun to fire at them, and Kiba was already surprised he hadn't been shot. Maybe his luck was giving him a saving grave, maybe it was relaxing and waiting for the bigger screw-up. Either way Kiba would take it, no matter how small. Strange how humans were so scared of anything these days they would make a weapon to not even need to look whoever he or she was killing in the eyes. Where was their honor? Where was their pride in all of this? It was pathetic, that man relied on weapons and machine for food and nourishment, technology and civility.
Racing through the street, Kiba jolted to his right, ducking into an alleyway, knowing, and hearing the guards moving forward towards them. Hopefully Hige had kept up. With a quick sniff and a slight look, Kiba noted Hige was right at his flank, so that was something at least. He never liked many other people, but seeing a decently mannered wolf die was out of the question. There was too few of them left to simply sit around and die. They needed to take action.
Of course, at the moment, that was easier said than done. The only action, the only smart one at least, was to get away. There was not really a use seeing as the guards had called in for backup by now, and Kiba doubted the two wolves could take on an entire platoon of these men. So the only sensible option would be to run for their lives. Twisting and turning through alleyways, weaving through market's, Kiba ducked into a seemingly abandoned or blank living space. Breathing slowly for air, Kiba looked over at Hige. “I think we might have lost them, or at least kept them off us for a bit. We can rest here, but we'll have to leave soon. They'll find us eventually.” He said, moving over and taking a seat against a wall, looking at Hige.

Hige glanced behind him as he ran after Kiba, seems these guys couldn't shoot and run at the same time, sure some of the bullets got close but none of them ever hit either one of them as they took a sharp right turn down an alleyway he saw Kiba glance his way briefly checking to see if Hige was following him.
After several more twists and turns, Kiba ducked into a vacant house and Hige followed right behind him. He nodded and sat against the wall next to a window. "Yeah I'm not sure how long it will take them to find us, hopefully we will be able to hide here till nightfall and escape when the humans eye sight isn't that great. But I guess we'll just have to wait it out and see what happens." Hige then leaned his head against the wall and closes his eyes and keeps all his senses trained outside in case the guards got too close.
